Engineering Services The A-9000 OEM sensors meter and control circuit board is built complete and ready to use. The board has many connectors to receive sensor signals and many connectors for output signals. The A-9000 board is designed to interface with LCD displays which we also provide (although the customer may wish to use a display of their own liking). How do you want your sensing, measurement or control instrument to work and can you effectively do this yourself? Key questions you need to answer. Bowman Industry and Manufacturing because of its own product developments has egineering experience and services for sale. The first steps in our process costs you nothing as we also must qualify your specific need and decide which engineering paths you wish to choose. Our process has several steps. 1 Sign the appropriate NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) to protect both parties. 2 Analyze through conference call or direct meeting what you need. 3. Bowman prepares a report discussing several specific approaches and the trade-offs associated with each and a rough estimate of project completion in a perfect world. 4. You decide if you want to proceed. If the answer is yes: 5. Another conference call(s) or meeting take place to get even more specific on the critical details of the choosen path. 6. A contractual agreement is implemented with milestones to which each party must adhere. Bowman begins charging for the project engineering service at this point. The project can be paid at an hourly rate or the project can be bid turn-key. General: Bowman Industry and Manufacturing L.L.C. email: info@bowmanindustry.com Ordering: Delivery: Standard product delivery is 30 days after receipt of and order. Returns: 1. Receive a RMA# (Return Materials Authorization Number) from the factory by phone, fax or email. 2. Send the unit to Bowman Industry and Manufacturing LLC, 2200 North Wilmot Road, Tucson, AZ. 85712 marked with the RMA#. Customer pays the inbound freight unless authorized by the factory. No COD accepted. 3. Returns under warranty (see warranty policy below) are returned at no charge, usually within 3 weeks. 4. Returns for credit are accepted however the factory must determine if credit is due. A restocking charge could be applied for various reasons. Mis-ordering a device but accepting another device of the right specification does not usually entail a re-stocking fee unless the unit was non-standard and custom built. A restocking charge could be as much as 20% or as little as 10%. 5. Advance Replacement Policy. We believe product purchased from Bowman Industry and Manufacturing is critically applied in many applications. Should a product supplied by us have a failure due to almost any legitimate circumstance contact the factory for an RMA# and Bowman will send to you in advance of a repair a working unit to get you or keep your critical application on line. Repairs: 1. Enter a purchase order number to the factory for the repair. 2. Describe the apparent problem with the unit. It is best if a note in the shipping carton is included however communication with by phone, fax or email is ok and encouraged. 3. We will not repair the unit until we provide a cost estimate and you authorize the repair. If the unit is un-repairable we will give to you a 'trade-in' discount on a new purchase of a comparable unit or return the unit to you as is. If nothing is found to be defective a nominal charge will be applied, the amount depending upon time checking the unit. Warrenty Policy: All Bowman Industry and Manufacturing LLC products are warrented to be free from manufacturing defects for a period of 1 year from the date the product leaves its dock direct and is received by the end user. Stocking distributors receive an additional 6 months (18 months) warranty for orders placed with the note: Inventory Order Distributors ordering receive the standard 1 year warranty from the date the customer receives Bowman Product for orders not indentified as Inventory orders. Orders returned for warranty repair will be fixed and returned at no charge if the units has not been mis-applied or installed and is operated within the published unit specifications. It is the customer's responsibility to carefully read and implement installation and operating instructions supplied by the factory with each unit. If the instructions are lost or mis-placed they are available on-line at www.bowmanindustry.com Bowman Industry and Manufacturing has an extended 2 Year Warranty Plan: Nominal Cost- $100 per unit. Bowman Industry and Manufacturing has an extended 3 Year Warranty Plan: Nominal Cost- $150 per unit. Calibration Services: Bowman Industry and Manufacturing Liquid and Gas Flow Meter and Flow Controllers are calibrated to national metrology standards at the factory before shipment. Liquid units are calibrated to water (H2O) as a standard. Gas units are calibrated to Nitrogen (N2). Units have software corrections for the various application medias flowed through our devices. Typical industry recomendations for re-calibration or re-certification are called out on a yearly basis. In order to comply with industry standards or to specific customer policies (to Meet ISO, for example) Bowman Industry and Manufacturing offers both re-calibration and/or re-certification services. These services are completed under purchase orders and vary in price. Units sent to be checked against intial calibration data: $100 Uints sent to be checked and re-calibrated with a return calibration certificate: $200 Units sent to be checked and re-calibrated and re-certified with a calibration certificate and a certificate 'certifiying' the NIST (National Institute of Standards Technology): $300 Additional calibration services are offered. Common in the industry are calls for 'multi-point' calibration which is the number of measurement 'points' between '0' and full range scale to which a unit is being compared and/or adjusted versus the calibrated metrology instrumetation. Prices vary for this service depending on the number of points and the flow range of the device being calibrated. Low flow devices with many points are most expensive because of physical time on the calibration bench to do the work. Consult the factory for cost estimates.
