BI-2000 GAS VOLUMETRIC FLOW METER |
||
Planning for the BI-2000 Gas Volumetric Flow Meter The BI-2000 Gas Volumetric Flow Meter is designed to accurately measure a gas flow rate by volume and totalize the volume of gas flow. The BI-2000 does not have temperature and pressure compensation. By choosing the appropriate model from a selection of more than 90 available flow rates, flows can be accurately measured from 2 ccm up to 1500 LPM. The totalizer can be started by the user at any point and will accumulate flow until reset. Choosing Your Flow Rate When choosing the flow rate of the BI-2000 that you will purchase, you should determine the maximum flow rate to be measured. The BI-2000 has more than 90 available flow rates. The Meter will be scaled for you so that the analog output will show the maximum flow rate at 20 mA or 5 volts depending on your selection. Choosing Your Optional Laminar Flow Element Re-Ranging Kit If you purchase the optional re-ranging kit, you can quickly, easily and economically extend the range of your Meter. The re-ranging kit consists of three laminar flow elements chosen from the wide selection of more than 90 available, along with instructions, removal and installation tools and pre-loaded software which you can quickly access on the menu screen. Re-ranging takes about 15 minutes depending on your installation. Choosing Your Optional Fluid Connectors The BI-2000 Meter will have 3/8” NPT internal threads for all flow rates. The optional fluid connector kit includes polypropylene fittings and tubing. The kit includes fittings and tubing for 3/8” and 1/4”. Two of each connector and 10 feet of each size of tubing are included with each kit. Choosing Your Optional Power and I/O Cables The BI-2000 Meter comes with a standard BI-2000 Meter I/O cable which includes a 110 volt, 60 Hz ungrounded wall adapter with an output to the Meter of 15 volts DC and flying leads for one analog output and static ground. If your installation has a power source different from the above, if you need to access more of the available I/O, or if you need a custom plug attached to your cable, you can choose from our wide selection of optional. Ordering the BI-2000 Gas Volumetric Flow Meter Follow these steps to choose a complete BI-2000 Gas Volumetric Meter package: 1. Choose your flow rate from one of the three groups (click on the Flow Rate Selection button at the left to view the complete list of flow rates within the group). a. Low Flow Group – 30 different flow rate selections from 2 ccm to 2 LPM b. Middle Flow Group – 80 different flow selections from 2 LPM to 400 LPM c. High Flow Group – 10 different flow selections from 400 LPM to 1500 LPM 2. Choose an optional Re-Ranging Kit by picking three additional flow rates within the same group as your primary flow rate. 3. Choose an optional Fluid Connector Kit which matches the NPT size of the range that you have chosen. 4. Choose an optional Power and I/O Cable from the list of available cables for the BI-2000 Meter. 5. Make a list of your specific System Application Conditions (see Forms) so that your Bowman customer service representative can better assist you to ensure that your Meter will be right for the application. 6. Call your Bowman customer service representative and place your order.
