CIC-2005 LIQUID & CHEMICAL FLOW CONTROLLER

Thousands of chemical metering pumps are built and sold each year. A trend in water and wastewater, industrial automation and process control engineering and plant design and maintenance is “turn key” responsibility of chemical feed systems. It has therefore become necessary that chemical metering systems have the capability of sensing real flow information and feeding that information directly to an input(s) onboard the chemical metering pump (or equivalent Flow Control Device such as a valve or variable frequency drive) to control the speed of the pump or its piston displacement. An analog or digital input to either ‘close the loop’ or command the Flow Rate set point of the metering pump is often desired. Display of Flow Rates and Flow Totals in real time is useful. A re-transmitted analog or digital output signal for data acquisition and totalized flow is likewise, often necessary.

The CIC-2005 Liquid and Chemical Flow Controller will meter and control flow with very fast (millisecond) sensing of real flow and send feedback control signals to the inputs of the chemical metering pump. While precisely metering and controlling these aggressive chemicals in the typical flow ranges from .003 GPH (gallons per hour) to 475 GPH, the CIC-2005 will totalize flow as well as provide an alarm relay, a digital indicating display of flow rate, and analog and digital outputs proportional to the flow rate for chemical feed system data acquisition.
