Several key groups of accessories are available and for customers to utilize all of the features of each make and model of Bowman Industry and Manufacturing’s liquid and chemical and gas flow meters and also Bowman Industry and Manufacturing’s liquid and chemical and gas flow controllers. Power and I/O Cables All Bowman products come standard and ready to use with a power supply and connector/cable assembly with flying leads for the analog output. Controllers have additional flying leads for one analog input. No customer should be frustrated opening the box only to discover the device cannot be used immediately because of power requirements or lack of proper connectors. If more than the basic cable assembly is needed, you have the option of building your own or buying custom cables from Bowman. Bowman Industry and Manufacturing’s Customer Service, info@bowmanindustry.com, is always willing to teach the customer how to procure and build power supplies and cable assembly combinations that utilize the full I/O capability of each device for a particular application. If “do-it-yourself” cables are not for you, then Bowman’s Customer Service will assist customers in purchasing the correct custom cable for their specific needs. Re-ranging Meter and Controller Flow Rates. All Bowman Industry and Manufacturing’s flow meters and flow controllers are optimized to the flow range ordered in standard conditions. Unique to Bowman Industry and Manufacturing’s flow products is field replacement of orifice/laminar flow element assemblies enabling customers to achieve one of two fundamental customer goals. 1. Re-ranging of the flow meter and/or flow controller without a recalibration or having to send it back to the factory. 2. Optimizing pressure drops through the flow meter or flow controller to suit the need of particular customer application. Bowman Industry and Manufacturing offers individually or in kits a full selection of orifice/laminar flow elements that accomplish each or both fundamental goals. The kit can be purchased with the initial instrument order or at any time thereafter. If purchased at a later date and you want to load the software in the field, it will be necessary to have a computer that has a 9 pin RS232 Com Port with a Windows XP operating system. Fluid Connectors. All Bowman Industry and Manufacturing flow meters and flow controllers come standard with NPT threads. The flow rate will determine the size. The Fluid Connector page will have a complete description of the connectors. Once again it is the company philosophy to inform customers that they can procure various fluid handling connectors locally or from online vendors to adapt our product to specific application “plumbing” requirements and our Customer Service will assist the customer in finding these connectors. If the customer prefers, Bowman Industry and Manufacturing also offers a range of fluid connector kits for customer use. Although more expensive than seeking and procuring a local solution, the Fluid Connector kit from the factory insures that the customer has an engineered package to meet the application.
